Apple has finally announced and will soon be releasing ARM-based Macs. This new chip, dubbed the M1, is based on the A14 and makes its way to the MacBook Air, 13-inch MacBook Pro with Touch Bar, and Mac mini. Specs are vague and performance is yet to be determined, but if Apple’s slides are to be believed, this chip design and these machines are just the beginning of a hugely important transition for Apple and computing in general....
Today, Malawi took a significant step towards creating a digital payment ecosystem in order to address poverty and drive inclusive growth. An event organized by the Government of Malawi with the United Nations Capital Development Fund’s (UNCDF) Better Than Cash Alliance (http://www.betterthancash.org) and Mobile Money for the Poor initiatives brought together digital payments players to accelerate the progress of digital finance in Malawi. The convening also marks the release of an in-depth analysis of the country’s readiness to transition from a nearly cash-only economy to one where digital payments are widely available through an ecosystem approach....
Max.ng , Nigeria’s pioneer bike-hailing platform released a tweet yesterday on its official twitter account hinting what might be a preparation to launch its own tricycle-hailing service called Max Keke. Images attached to the tweets showed tricycles branded yellow and black and with the Max.ng logo. Just recently, Max.ng raised $7 million from investors to expand their service. We have reasons to believe that Tricycle-hailing service is one area Max.ng hopes to expand to with the funds raised....
