Online shopping website, Kaymu Uganda is set to compete in the electronic ticketing industry in Uganda. The platform that connects buyers and sellers to transact online is now allowing events companies to sell tickets as well on its platform. It’s almost two years now since Nokia CEO Stephen Elop wrote a popular email to his staff where he described Symbian, the mobile operating which runs the companies low-end handsets as a “burning platform”. Umeme has introduced new energy saving bulbs based on LED technology that can save your lighting power bill by 85%. The new initiative is in partnership with the government of Uganda, the Electricity Regulatory Authority and DAKS couriers. It’s said that the new Umeme LED bulbs can last up to 15 years and provide better light quality ontop of being great energy savers....
